On 5th October 2024, SheEO society hosted a networking event at Novikov Café Muscat, turning the chic dining spot into a lively space where women entrepreneurs came together to connect, share stories, and find inspiration in their entrepreneurial journey. This event, held in the lead-up to Omani Women’s Day, brought together a group of local female entrepreneurs with the aim of building a stronger sense of community among women in business in Oman.
The event attracted 40 women, all eager to dive into meaningful discussions about their entrepreneurial journeys. Tickets were sold out within just two hours, highlighting the interest in such opportunities, where local businesswomen can meet, collaborate, and support each other. At its core, SheEO Society is all about the power of community – encouraging women to share their experiences and grow together. This grassroots society is rapidly expanding across the Middle East, helping entrepreneurial women gain the knowledge, skills, and networks they need to thrive.

The event itself was designed to encourage everyone to get out of their comfort zones, chat with new people, and make real connections. The 36 invited entrepreneurs were split into groups, each having the chance to meet with three different women leaders at the event. Among the inspiring leaders who acted as guest hosts were Amal Al Raisi, the founder of her eponymous fashion house; HH Dr Taghreed Al Said, psychologist, hypnotherapist, and founder of Learn & Inspire; Noorulhuda Al Manthari, a climber, engineer, and social entrepreneur; Olivia Al Farsi, a learning and development expert and former VP of People and Culture at OQ; Rasha Al Mahruqi, a transformation coach and founder of SoulSync Coaching; and Roshni Goyate, entrepreneur, poet, and co-founder of The Other Box.
The mix of backgrounds was what made the event so valuable, according to Noorulhuda Al Manthari: “Bringing like-minded women with different businesses together was such a key learning experience for all of us, as hosts and as participants.”
With Omani Women’s Day just around the corner, the event gave attendees a perfect platform to talk openly about the ups and downs of being an entrepreneur. The discussions were divided into three sessions: Finding Your Unique Purpose and Being Unapologetically Yourself, Navigating Transitions with Integrity and Authenticity, and Self-Care, Boundaries, and Mental Health. These topics were chosen for their relevance to women’s core experience and based on key themes which emerged across past community events, and which remain the main challenges around navigating entrepreneurial life. Roshni Goyate emphasised how important these selective themes were for people in the room: “So many people feel like they’re going through things alone, but when they share their stories in the right setting, they find they’re not alone at all. Finding your community is key to becoming the best version of yourself.”
The day was filled with inspiring conversations and real moments of connection, no matter where each woman was on her entrepreneurial journey. As Rasha Al Mahruqi put it, the event was a chance to “come together and see parts of ourselves in others,” helping build relationships that are sure to last.
Held at the beautiful Novikov Café, the event wasn’t just about talk – there was plenty of delicious food to enjoy too. Guests were treated to dishes like saffron arancini, signature focaccia, wagyu tacos, margherita pizza, and the highlight of the day: hand-crafted macarons, specially created for Omani Women’s Day which will be offered on Omani Women’s Day to guests at Novikov Café Muscat.
By the end of the event, the women left feeling connected, uplifted, and ready to take the next steps on their business journeys—proof that when women come together, incredible things can happen.

Since its opening, Novikov Café Muscat has become a premier destination for authentic Mediterranean cuisine and indulgent desserts. In celebration of Omani Women’s Day, the café delighted guests with an exclusive pastry crafted by Chef Francesco. Inspired by the grace and elegance of Omani women, this exquisite dessert features layers of ganache, figs, and white chocolate, meticulously assembled petal by petal into a stunning edible masterpiece. To mark the occasion, each female guest also received roses and personalized messages, adding a thoughtful touch of appreciation to the experience.
